Higher-spin Cotton tensors and massive gauge-invariant actions in AdS$_3$
Sergei M. Kuzenko, Michael Ponds

TL;DR
This paper extends the explicit form of higher-spin Cotton tensors from Minkowski space to AdS$_3$, enabling better analysis of massive gauge-invariant actions and supersymmetric extensions in three-dimensional AdS space.
Contribution
It provides a closed-form expression for higher-spin Cotton tensors in AdS$_3$ and factorizes conformal higher-spin actions into simpler operators, extending known Minkowski results.
Findings
Derived explicit AdS$_3$ higher-spin Cotton tensors.
Factorized conformal higher-spin actions into first-order operators.
Extended results to $ ext{N}=1$ AdS supersymmetry with super-Cotton tensors.
Abstract
In a conformally flat three-dimensional spacetime, the linearised higher-spin Cotton tensor is the unique conserved conformal current which is a gauge-invariant descendant of the conformal gauge prepotential . The explicit form of is well known in Minkowski space. Here we solve the problem of extending the Minkowskian result to the case of anti-de Sitter (AdS) space and derive a closed-form expression for in terms of the AdS Lorentz covariant derivatives. It is shown that every conformal higher-spin action factorises into a product of first-order operators that are associated with the spin- partially massless AdS values. Our findings greatly facilitate the on-shell analysis…
