\v{S}\'arka Todorova-Nov\'a

TL;DR
This paper explores baryon production through a quantized fragmentation model of a helical QCD string, successfully reproducing light baryon masses using a simplified flux tube approximation.
Contribution
It introduces a novel approach to baryon production modeling using a helical QCD string with parameters constrained by meson spectra.
Findings
Reproduces light baryon masses with a helical flux tube model.
Demonstrates intuitive baryon emergence via causally connected string breakups.
Validates the model's effectiveness with experimental mass spectra.
Abstract
Baryon production is studied within the framework of quantized fragmentation of QCD string. Baryons appear in the model in a fairly intuitive way, with help of causally connected string breakups. A simple helical approximation of QCD flux tube with parameters constrained by mass spectrum of light mesons is sufficient to reproduce masses of light baryons.
