Stanislav Kolodny, Valerii Kozin, Ivan Iorsh

TL;DR
This paper demonstrates that by engineering the aspect ratio of AlGaAs micropillar resonators, the efficiency of second harmonic generation at telecom wavelengths can be increased by two orders of magnitude.
Contribution
It introduces a method to enhance second harmonic generation efficiency through cavity aspect ratio engineering in micropillar resonators.
Findings
Two orders of magnitude increase in SHG efficiency achieved.
Aspect ratio engineering effectively controls nonlinear optical processes.
Potential for improved telecom wavelength applications.
Abstract
We show, that engineering the cavity aspect ratio of AlGaAs micropillar resonator allows for the two order of magnitude increase in the efficiency of second harmonic generation at telecom wavelengths.
