Baidyanath Sahu, R. Djoumessi Fobasso, Andre M. Strydom

TL;DR
This study investigates the spin-glass behavior in the ferromagnetic phase of Tm2Cu2In, revealing it belongs to a canonical spin-glass class through various magnetic measurements and analysis of ac-susceptibility.
Contribution
It provides the first detailed characterization of spin-glass behavior in Tm2Cu2In, combining multiple experimental techniques and theoretical analysis.
Findings
Tm2Cu2In exhibits spin-glass behavior below T_C=32.5 K.
The magnetic irreversibility follows Almeida-Thouless line.
Frequency dependence fits Vogel-Fulcher and power-law models.
Abstract
The spin-glass behavior in the ferromagnetic phase of was investigated by dc-, ac-magnetization, and non-equilibrium dynamics characterizations. Arc-melted polycrystalline compound of crystallizes in -type tetragonal structure (space group ). The temperature variation dc-magnetization exhibits a ferromagnetic behavior with Curie temperature = 32.5 K. The zero-field cooled (ZFC) and field cooled (FC) magnetic curves show a thermomagnetic irreversible behavior below . The field dependence of irreversible temperature follows Almeida-Thouless line. The frequency and ac-driven field-dependent anomalies in ac-susceptibility results indicate the existence of spin-glass state in . The time dependence of magnetization further supports the spin-glass behavior observed in .…
