Symplectic analysis for the Holst action with Dirac fields
M. S. Galv\~ao Jr

TL;DR
This paper reviews the canonical symplectic analysis of the Holst-Dirac action, focusing on constraints, gauge symmetries, and degrees of freedom, using the Faddeev-Jackiw method.
Contribution
It applies the Faddeev-Jackiw symplectic procedure to the Holst-Dirac action, providing a systematic analysis of constraints and gauge structure.
Findings
Replicated known constraint structures
Recovered gauge symmetry expressions
Counted degrees of freedom accurately
Abstract
In this work we review the canonical analysis of the Holst-Dirac action from the point of view of the Faddeev-Jackiw symplectic procedure using the Barcelo Neto-Wotzasek algorithm. We replicate the results found in the literature for the theory's constraints, recover some of the expressions for gauge symmetries of the main fields and perform the counting of the degrees of freedom.
