TL;DR
This paper systematically studies the excited rho resonances, assigning specific states to $Y(2040)$, $ ho(1900)$, and $ ho(2150)$, and predicts properties of the $ ho(3^3D_1)$ state to guide future searches.
Contribution
It provides a novel interpretation of the $Y(2040)$, $ ho(1900)$, and $ ho(2150)$ as specific quark model states and predicts the properties of the $ ho(3^3D_1)$ state.
Findings
$Y(2040)$ is interpreted as $ ho(2^3D_1)$.
$ ho(1900)$ is interpreted as $ ho(3^3S_1)$.
$ ho(2150)$ is interpreted as $ ho(4^3S_1)$.
Abstract
Recently, the BESIII Collaboration reported a resonance with MeV and MeV in the process of . In addition, new measurements with much higher precision for the and states are obtained by the BESIII and BABAR Collaborations. In this work, we perform a systematic study on the mass spectrum of the excited resonances using the modified Godfrey-Isgur model, and the strong decays of , , and within the model.We find that , , and can be interpreted as the , , and states, respectively. Meanwhile, the mass and strong decays of the state are predicted as well, which could be helpful to search for this state in future.
