G. A. Ummarino, A. Gallerati

TL;DR
This paper investigates the potential for superconductors to alter local gravitational fields by combining gravito-Maxwell formalism with Ginzburg-Landau theory, aiming to identify conditions that enhance such effects.
Contribution
It introduces a theoretical framework to estimate superconductor-gravity interactions and compares high-$T_c$ and low-$T_c$ superconductors in this context.
Findings
Identification of conditions favoring gravity effects in superconductors
Qualitative comparison of high-$T_c$ and low-$T_c$ superconductors
Theoretical estimates of superconductor influence on gravitational fields
Abstract
We calculate the possible interaction between a superconductor and the static Earth's gravitational fields, making use of the gravito-Maxwell formalism combined with the time-dependent Ginzburg-Landau theory. We try to estimate which are the most favourable conditions to enhance the effect, optimizing the superconductor parameters characterizing the chosen sample. We also give a qualitative comparison of the behaviour of high- and classical low- superconductors with respect to the gravity/superfluid interplay.
