TL;DR
This paper explores the rescattering mechanism in weak decays of double-charm baryons, providing detailed theoretical analysis and predictions for decay processes involving doubly and singly charmed baryons.
Contribution
It offers a systematic study of two-body baryonic decays of doubly charmed baryons using the rescattering mechanism for final-state interactions.
Findings
Predicted decay channels of $\Xi_{cc}^{++}$ match observed data.
Developed a detailed framework combining short- and long-distance contributions.
Provided predictions for various baryonic decay modes.
Abstract
The doubly charmed baryon was recently observed by LHCb via the decay processes of and . These discovery channels were successfully predicted in the framework that the short-distance contributions are calculated under the factorization hypothesis and the long-distance contributions are estimated using the rescattering mechanism for the final-state-interaction effects. In this paper, we illustrate the above framework in details by systematic studies on the two-body baryonic decays involving the doubly charmed baryons , the singly charmed baryons and the light pseudoscalar mesons .
