Manas K. Mohapatra (IIT Hyderabad, Kandi)

TL;DR
This paper investigates rare $B_d$ decay modes involving $ o ext{vector mesons}$ within a vector-like down quark model, aiming to identify potential signals of physics beyond the Standard Model by analyzing suppressed decay rates and constraining new physics parameters.
Contribution
It introduces a detailed analysis of $B_d$ decay modes in a vector-like down quark model and constrains new physics parameters using experimental limits, exploring their impact on decay observables.
Findings
Predicted branching fractions are around $10^{-9}$, indicating high suppression.
New physics can significantly alter the branching ratios of these decay modes.
Constraints from existing experimental data limit the parameter space for new physics contributions.
Abstract
We inspect the exclusive hadronic decay modes , induced by quark level transition as , in vector like down quark model. As these decay modes insist highly suppressed followed by the predicted branching fraction which reflects to scrutinize physics beyond the standard model. We constrain the new parameter space inferred from experimental limits on leptonic and nonleptonic decay modes and . We then check the new physics contributions can have significant impact on the prominent observable so called branching ratio of processes.
