The Weak Eightfold Way: $SU(3)_W$ unification of the electroweak interactions
P. Q. Hung

TL;DR
This paper proposes unifying the electroweak interactions under an $SU(3)_W$ symmetry at TeV scales, predicting the weak mixing angle and introducing new particles like mirror fermions and vector-like quarks with experimental implications.
Contribution
It demonstrates that $SU(2) imes U(1)$ can be embedded into $SU(3)_W$ at TeV energies, reproducing the weak mixing angle and predicting new particles and phenomena.
Findings
Reproduces the weak mixing angle prediction within $SU(3)_W$
Contains all necessary scalar representations for the EW-$ u_R$ model
Predicts vector-like quarks with unconventional charges and doubly-charged mesons.
Abstract
In a recent work, a successful prediction has been made for at an energy scale of O(TeV) based on the Dirac quantization condition of an electroweak monopole of the EW- model. The fact that such a prediction can be made has prompted the following question: Can be unified with at O(TeV) scale since a prediction for necessarily relates the coupling to the weak coupling ? It is shown in this manuscript that this can be accomplished by embedding into (The Weak Eightfold Way) with the following results: 1) The same prediction of the weak mixing angle is obtained; 2) The scalar representations of contain all those that are needed to build the the EW- model and, in particular, the real Higgs triplet used in the construction of the electroweak monopole. 3)…
