TL;DR
This paper investigates semi-leptonic weak decays of bottom and charm baryons using SU(3) flavor symmetry, providing new predictions for decay observables and analyzing the effects of different transition mechanisms.
Contribution
It introduces a novel SU(3) symmetry approach to relate and predict baryon decay observables, including branching ratios and asymmetries, many of which are calculated for the first time.
Findings
Predicted branching ratios for $T_{b3} o T_8 au^+ au^-$ decays.
Established amplitude relations among different baryon decay channels.
Analyzed the impact of single-quark transition and W-exchange mechanisms on decay rates.
Abstract
Motivated by recent anomalies in FCNC , we study semi-leptonic weak decays with the SU(3) flavor symmetry, where are the spin-1/2 baryons of single bottomed anti-triplet , single charmed anti-triplet or light baryon octet . Using the SU(3) irreducible representation approach, we first obtain the amplitude relations among different decays, and then predict the relevant not-yet measured observables of these decays. (a) We calculate the branching ratios of the and in the whole region and in the different bins by the measurement of . Many of them are obtained for the first time. In addition, the longitudinal polarization fractions and the leptonic forward-backward asymmetries of all $T_{b3}\to…
