Wenxin Jiang

TL;DR
This paper derives analytical formulas for the standard error and confidence intervals of F measures, enabling better statistical inference and sample size planning in large-sample scenarios.
Contribution
It introduces new analytic formulas for estimating the variability of F measures based on asymptotic normality, aiding in statistical analysis.

Formulas for standard error of F measures derived
Confidence intervals for F measures provided
Applicable for large sample size planning
Abstract
We provide analytic formulas for the standard error and confidence intervals for the F measures, based on a property of asymptotic normality in the large sample limit. The formula can be applied for sample size planning in order to achieve accurate enough estimation of these F measures.
