Analytical solution of SEIR model describing the free spread of the COVID-19 pandemic
Nicola Piovella

TL;DR
This paper derives analytical expressions for key epidemic metrics in the SEIR model to better understand COVID-19 spread dynamics.
Contribution
It provides simple formulas for peak infection levels and timing in the SEIR model, enhancing predictive capabilities.
Findings
Analytical expressions for epidemic peak and timing.
Explicit formulas for asymptotic population values.
Improved understanding of COVID-19 spread dynamics.
Abstract
We analytically study the SEIR (Susceptible Exposed Infectious Removed) epidemic model. The aim is to provide simple analytical expressions for the peak and asymptotic values and their characteristic times of the populations affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
