Olga Korotkova, Paulo A. Brand\~ao

TL;DR
This paper develops a scattering theory for deterministic and random collections of particles with parity-time symmetry, focusing on their structure factors and light scattering properties, including an example with gain and loss particles.
Contribution
It introduces a new potential scattering theory for $ ext{PT}$-symmetric particle collections, elucidating their structure and pair-structure factors, and provides an example involving light scattering with gain and loss.
Findings
Derived forms of structure and pair-structure factors.
Analyzed light scattering from $ ext{PT}$-symmetric particles.
Presented an example with gain and loss particles.
Abstract
A potential scattering theory from deterministic and random collections of particles with gain and loss is introduced and the forms of their structure and pair-structure factors are elucidated. An example relating to light scattering from a random distribution of a pair of particles with gain and loss is considered.
