TL;DR
This paper details the conceptual design and theoretical basis for implementing optical stochastic cooling at Fermilab's IOTA ring, including beam parameters and technical requirements for the experiment.
Contribution
It provides a comprehensive design report and theoretical framework for the first implementation of optical stochastic cooling at IOTA.
Findings
Design framework for optical stochastic cooling at IOTA
Key beam parameters identified for experiment success
Technical requirements outlined for system implementation
Abstract
The paper presents a journal version of the Design Report on the Optical Stochastic Cooling experiment to be carried out at IOTA ring in Fermilab later this year. It discusses the theory which experiment is based on, beam parameters, major requirements to the storage ring systems and technical details of the experiment implementation.
