Pavel Naumov, Kevin Ros

TL;DR
This paper introduces a bimodal logical system that models how an agent's comprehension of sentences is influenced by prior knowledge and experiences, linking comprehension and knowledge as interconnected modalities.
Contribution
It proposes a novel bimodal logical framework explicitly capturing the interplay between comprehension and knowledge modalities.
Findings
A complete logical system for comprehension and knowledge.
Formalization of comprehension as a modality.
Insights into the relationship between prior knowledge and understanding.
Abstract
The ability of an agent to comprehend a sentence is tightly connected to the agent's prior experiences and background knowledge. The paper suggests to interpret comprehension as a modality and proposes a complete bimodal logical system that describes an interplay between comprehension and knowledge modalities.
