TL;DR
This paper investigates the production mechanisms of axial-vector $f_1$ mesons in proton-proton collisions through pomeron-pomeron fusion, comparing theoretical models with experimental data and providing predictions for future collider experiments.
Contribution
It introduces two models for the pomeron-pomeron-$f_1$ coupling and offers predictions for RHIC and LHC based on these models.
Findings
Comparison with WA102 data shows model viability.
Predictions for $f_1$ production at RHIC and LHC.
Insights into pomeron-pomeron-$f_1$ interaction mechanisms.
Abstract
The production of () mesons in proton-proton collisions via pomeron-pomeron fusion is discussed. Two ways to construct the pomeron-pomeron- coupling are presented. Comparisons with data from the WA102 experiment are made and predictions for RHIC and LHC experiments are given.
