Excited $J^{--}$ meson resonances at the SU(3) flavor point from lattice QCD
Christopher T. Johnson, Jozef J. Dudek

TL;DR
This study uses lattice QCD to calculate excited light meson resonances with specific quantum numbers, revealing multiple states and their decay properties under SU(3) flavor symmetry, and connecting findings to experimental resonances.
Contribution
First lattice QCD calculation of excited $J^{--}$ meson resonances with SU(3) flavor symmetry, identifying multiple states and their decay channels.
Findings
Identified two $1^{--}$ resonances, broad and narrow.
Found a broad $2^{--}$ resonance decaying in multiple waves.
Discovered a narrow $3^{--}$ state.
Abstract
We present the first calculation within lattice QCD of excited light meson resonances with , and . Working with an exact SU(3) flavor symmetry, for the singlet representation of pseudoscalar-vector scattering, we find two resonances, a lighter broad state and a heavier narrow state, a broad resonance decaying in both - and -waves, and a narrow state. We present connections to experimental resonances decaying into , , and other final states.
