Profinet vs Profibus
Pouya Aminaie, Poorya Aminaie

TL;DR
This paper compares Profinet and Profibus communication protocols by defining, describing, and analyzing their topologies and performance to determine which is superior in industrial applications.
Contribution
It provides a detailed step-by-step comparison of Profinet and Profibus, including their types, topologies, and performance metrics, highlighting their differences.
Findings
Profinet and Profibus have distinct topologies and performance characteristics.
Profinet generally offers better performance in industrial settings.
The paper clarifies the specific advantages of each protocol.
Abstract
We present a step by step definition of Profinet and Profibus. We introduced different types of each of the two communication protocols. Then, the topology and performance of each one has been described individually. Finally, the properties of them have been compared to show that which one has a better performance in the industry.
