TL;DR
This paper reports the experimental observation of electromagnetically induced absorption in a combined vee + ladder atomic system using rubidium-87, supported by a theoretical model and analysis of control power effects.
Contribution
It presents the first experimental demonstration of EIA in a vee + ladder system with a theoretical model that matches the observations.
Findings
EIA observed in rubidium-87's low-lying energy levels
Theoretical model successfully reproduces experimental results
EIA characteristics depend on control power combinations
Abstract
We experimentally demonstrate electromagnetically induced absorption (EIA) in a vee + ladder system. The experiment is done using the low-lying energy levels of Rb. A theoretical model of the system is made that reproduces the experimental results. We study the dependence of the characteristics of the EIA resonance on various combinations of the different control powers. We also explore the contribution of various incoherent phenomena that affect the EIA signal.
