Abstract
In this work, we investigate a new warped five-dimensional, Z2-symmetric thick brane solution in the presence of a real scalar field. We examine the different geometric aspects of the model. We discuss the stability of the solution under gravitational fluctuations and study both the graviton ground state and the continuum of Kaluza-Klein modes to find a correction to Newtons law. Then, we study the quantum version of the model by deriving the Wheeler-DeWitt equation and looking for the corresponding solution. Finally, the cosmology of the brane is studied.
