Deconfinement and Hadron Resonance Gas for Heavy Quarks
Peter Petreczky

TL;DR
This paper explores the deconfinement transition in 2+1 flavor QCD using Polyakov loops and the hadron resonance gas model for hadrons with static and charm quarks.
Contribution
It introduces a combined analysis of deconfinement and hadron resonance gas models specifically for heavy quarks in QCD.
Findings
Polyakov loops effectively signal the deconfinement transition.
Hadron resonance gas model describes hadrons with static and charm quarks.
Results provide insights into heavy quark behavior near the transition.
Abstract
I discuss the deconfinement transition in 2+1 flavor QCD in terms of Polyakov loops as well as the hadron resonance gas for hadrons containing static quarks and charm quarks.
