On the Failure of the Smart Approach of the GPT Cryptosystem
Herve Tale Kalachi

TL;DR
This paper introduces a novel algorithm that exploits puncturing and Frobenius operator techniques to successfully break the smart approach of the GPT cryptosystem, revealing vulnerabilities in its security assumptions.
Contribution
The paper presents a new cryptanalytic method that effectively compromises the smart approach of the GPT cryptosystem using puncturing and Frobenius operator strategies.
Findings
Successfully breaks the smart approach of GPT cryptosystem
Identifies vulnerabilities through puncturing and Frobenius operator
Provides a new cryptanalytic algorithm for code-based cryptosystems
Abstract
This paper describes a new algorithm for breaking the smart approach of the GPT cryptosystem. We show that by puncturing the public code several times on specific positions, we get a public code on which applying the Frobenius operator appropriately allows to build an alternative secret key.
