${\cal O}(\alpha_sv^2)$ corrections to hadronic decay of vector quarkonia
Wen-Long Sang, Feng Feng, Yu Jia

TL;DR
This paper calculates higher-order QCD and relativistic corrections to the decay rates of vector quarkonia like J/ψ and Υ, improving theoretical predictions and comparing them with experimental data.
Contribution
It provides the first detailed computation of ${ m O}(eta_s v^2)$ corrections to vector quarkonia hadronic decay rates within NRQCD, with improved accuracy over previous calculations.
Findings
${ m O}(eta_s v^2)$ corrections are moderate and positive for J/ψ.
These corrections are sensitive to NRQCD matrix elements for Υ.
Predicted decay rates can align with experimental data with suitable matrix element choices.
Abstract
Within the nonrelativistic QCD (NRQCD) factorization framework, we compute the corrections to the hadronic decay rate of vector quarkonia, exemplified by and . Setting both the renormalization and NRQCD factorization scales to be , we obtain and . We confirm the previous calculation of corrections on a diagram-by-diagram basis, with the accuracy significantly improved. For hadronic decay, we find that the corrections are moderate and…
