Anisotropy in Dijet Production in Exclusive and Inclusive Processes
Yoshitaka Hatta, Bo-Wen Xiao, Feng Yuan, Jian Zhou

TL;DR
This paper studies how soft gluon radiation causes anisotropy in dijet production, affecting azimuthal correlations in various collider experiments, with implications for understanding QCD effects.
Contribution
It demonstrates that soft gluon emissions induce a significant $ ext{cos}(2 ext{phi})$ anisotropy in dijet azimuthal correlations, highlighting the role of final state effects.
Findings
Gluon emissions near jet cones cause sizable azimuthal anisotropy.
The anisotropy impacts interpretations of collider dijet data.
Phenomenological implications for multiple collider experiments.
Abstract
We investigate the effect of soft gluon radiations on the azimuthal angle correlation between the total and relative momenta of two jets in inclusive and exclusive dijet processes. We show that the final state effect induces a sizable anisotropy due to gluon emissions near the jet cones. The phenomenological consequences of this observation are discussed for various collider experiments, including diffractive processes in ultraperipheral and collisions, inclusive and diffractive dijet production at the EIC, and inclusive dijet in and collisions at the LHC.
