Hecke-Rogers double-sums and false theta functions
Eric T. Mortenson

TL;DR
This paper introduces a framework for evaluating Hecke-Rogers double-sums using false theta functions, connecting recent identities by Chan, Kim, Andrews, and Warnaar.
Contribution
It provides a novel method to express Hecke-Rogers series in terms of false theta functions, enhancing understanding of their relationships.
Findings
Established a new evaluation setting for Hecke-Rogers series
Connected recent false theta identities with Hecke-Rogers series
Extended the application of false theta functions in series evaluation
Abstract
We develop a setting in which one can evaluate certain Hecke-Rogers series in terms of false theta functions. We apply our setting to recent false theta function identities of Chan and Kim as well as Andrews and Warnaar.
