Z.Jalilian, G.R.Boroun

TL;DR
This paper derives a universal function for diffractive processes within the color dipole model, demonstrating geometrical scaling and analyzing heavy quark contributions at small-x in high-energy electron-proton collisions.
Contribution
It introduces a universal function for diffractive processes and explores geometrical scaling and heavy quark effects in the color dipole framework at small-x.
Findings
Diffractive cross section exhibits geometrical scaling.
Heavy quark production significantly contributes at high energies.
The ratio of diffractive to total cross section is computed.
Abstract
In this presentation, we obtain the corresponding universal function to the diffractive process and show the cross section exhibits the geometrical scaling. It is observed the diffractive theory according to the color dipole approach at small- is a convenient framework that reveals the color transparency and the saturation phenomena. Also we calculate the contribution of heavy quark productions in the diffractive cross section for high energy that is determined by the small size dipole configuration. The ratio of the diffractive cross section to the total cross section in the electron-proton collision is the other important quantity that is computed in this work.
