TL;DR
This study measures electromagnetic decay rates of excited $\\Xi_c$ baryons using Belle data, providing insights into their quark structure and testing theoretical models of charmed baryons.
Contribution
It reports the first observation of specific electromagnetic decays of $\\Xi_c(2815)^0$ and evidence for $\\Xi_c(2790)^0$, including decay rate measurements and upper limits for other states.
Findings
Clear signal for $\\Xi_c(2815)^0 \to \Xi_c^0\gamma$ decay.
Evidence for $\\Xi_c(2790)^0 \to \Xi_c^0\gamma$ decay.
Partial widths estimated to discriminate quark models.
Abstract
Using 980 of data collected with the Belle detector operating at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e^+e^- collider, we report a study of the electromagnetic decays of excited {charmed baryons} and . A clear signal (8.6 standard deviations) is observed for , and we measure: . We also present evidence (3.8 standard deviations) for the similar decay of the and measure: . The first quoted uncertainties are statistical and the second systematic. We find no hint of the analogous decays of the and baryons and set upper limits at…
