TL;DR
This study searches for a hypothesized doubly-charged $DDK$ bound state in $$ and $2S$ decays and direct production at various energies, finding no significant signals and setting upper limits on production rates.
Contribution
First experimental search for the $R^{++}$ $DDK$ bound state in $A$ decays and $e^+e^-$ collisions, providing upper limits on its production and decay probabilities.
Findings
No significant $R^{++}$ signals observed.
Upper limits on branching fractions and cross sections established.
Constraints on $R^{++}$ mass and width assumptions provided.
Abstract
We report the results of a first search for a doubly-charged bound state, denoted the , in and inclusive decays and via direct production in collisions at = 10.520, 10.580, and 10.867 GeV. The search uses data accumulated with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy collider. No significant signals are observed in the invariant-mass spectra of all studied modes. The 90\% credibility level upper limits on their product branching fractions in and inclusive decays (), and the product values of Born cross section and branching fraction in collisions () at = 10.520,…
