TL;DR
The T2K experiment measured muon neutrino and antineutrino disappearance parameters using a large dataset, finding consistent results between neutrinos and antineutrinos and supporting the three-flavor oscillation model.
Contribution
This study provides precise measurements of $ heta_{23}$ and $ riangle m^2_{32}$ for neutrinos and antineutrinos, confirming their consistency within the three-flavor framework.
Findings
Measured $ heta_{23}$ and $ riangle m^2_{32}$ with high precision.
No significant difference between neutrino and antineutrino parameters.
Results are consistent with the three-flavor neutrino oscillation model.
Abstract
We report measurements by the T2K experiment of the parameters and which govern the disappearance of muon neutrinos and antineutrinos in the three-flavor PMNS neutrino oscillation model at T2K's neutrino energy and propagation distance. Utilizing the ability of the experiment to run with either a mainly neutrino or a mainly antineutrino beam, muon-like events from each beam mode are used to measure these parameters separately for neutrino and antineutrino oscillations. Data taken from protons on target (POT) in neutrino mode and POT in antineutrino mode are used. The best-fit values obtained by T2K were and \evmass for neutrinos (antineutrinos). No…
