TL;DR
This paper investigates an indefinite abstract smoothing problem, establishing conditions for solutions, analyzing admissible parameters, and exploring its connection to linearly constrained interpolation problems.
Contribution
It provides necessary and sufficient conditions for solutions and links the smoothing problem to linearly constrained interpolation, advancing theoretical understanding.
Findings
Derived conditions for solution existence
Detailed analysis of admissible parameter sets
Connected smoothing problem with interpolation constraints
Abstract
Along this work we study an indefinite abstract smoothing problem. After establishing necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of solutions to this problem, the set of admissible parameters is discussed in detail. Then, its relationship with a linearly constrained interpolation problem is analyzed.
