Role of virial coefficients in chemical reaction
Vipin P, R. Sankaranarayanan

TL;DR
This paper investigates how virial coefficients influence the nonlinearity observed in van't Hoff plots for certain chemical reactions, providing insights into deviations from ideal behavior.
Contribution
It introduces the role of virial coefficients in explaining the nonlinear behavior of van't Hoff plots in chemical reactions.
Findings
Virial coefficients cause deviations from linearity in van't Hoff plots.
Nonlinear van't Hoff plots can be attributed to non-ideal interactions.
The study links virial coefficients to thermodynamic behavior of reactions.
Abstract
van't Hoff equation relates equilibrium constant of a chemical reaction to temperature . Though the van't Hoff plot ( vs ) is linear, it is nonlinear for certain chemical reactions. In this work we attribute such observations to virial coefficients.
