IIB matrix model: Extracting the spacetime points
F.R. Klinkhamer

TL;DR
This paper discusses how to extract spacetime points from the large-N master field of the Lorentzian IIB matrix model, highlighting the potential fine-structure needed for an expanding universe.
Contribution
It provides a procedure for extracting spacetime coordinates from the master field of the IIB matrix model and suggests the importance of fine-structure in the master field.
Findings
Test calculations indicate the potential for a fine-structure in the master field.
The procedure links the master field to emergent spacetime points.
Implications for understanding the origin of spacetime in string theory.
Abstract
Assuming that the large- master field of the Lorentzian IIB matrix model has been obtained, we go through the procedure of how the coordinates of emerging spacetime points can be extracted. Explicit calculations with test master fields suggest that the genuine IIB-matrix-model master field may have a fine-structure that is essential for producing the spacetime points of an expanding universe.
