L. Babinkostova, Ariana Chin, Aaron Kirtland, Vladyslav Nazarchuk and, Esther Plotnick

TL;DR
This paper investigates spectral distortions of algebraic numbers, providing explicit formulas and bounds for cyclotomic polynomials, which are crucial in understanding their algebraic and cryptographic properties.
Contribution
It offers a closed-form expression and bounds for spectral distortion in cyclotomic polynomials, addressing a question posed by prior research.
Findings
Closed-form spectral distortion formulas for certain cyclotomic polynomials
Bounds on spectral distortion of cyclotomic polynomials
Enhanced understanding of spectral properties of algebraic numbers
Abstract
We answer a question posed by Y. Elias et al. in [8] about possible spectral distortions of algebraic numbers. We provide a closed form for the spectral distortion of certain classes of cyclotomic polynomials. Moreover, we present a bound on the spectral distortion of cyclotomic polynomials.
