Daniela De Silva, Nicolo Forcillo, Ovidiu Savin

TL;DR
This paper develops perturbative methods to estimate solutions for the one-phase Stefan problem and proves regularity of flat free boundaries using linearization techniques inspired by elliptic problems.
Contribution
It introduces a novel perturbative approach and linearization technique to analyze free boundary regularity in the one-phase Stefan problem.
Findings
Established regularity of flat free boundaries.
Developed perturbative estimates for solutions.
Extended elliptic techniques to parabolic free boundary problems.
Abstract
We provide perturbative estimates for the one-phase Stefan free boundary problem and obtain the regularity of flat free boundaries via a linearization technique in the spirit of the elliptic counterpart established by the first author.
