Judd Harrison, Christine T. H. Davies, Andrew Lytle

TL;DR
This paper uses lattice QCD to compute form factors and predict lepton flavor universality violating observables in $B_c$ decays, providing precise ratios and angular observables to test new physics.
Contribution
It presents the first lattice QCD calculation of $R(J/ au)$ and extends angular observables to $B_c$ decays, offering new tools for new physics searches.
Findings
Calculated $R(J/ au) = 0.2582(38)$ with error analysis.
Extended angular observables to $B_c$ decays.
Predicted observable values under various new physics scenarios.
Abstract
We use our lattice QCD computation of the form factors to determine the differential decay rate for the semitauonic decay channel and construct the ratio of branching fractions . We find and give an error budget. We also extend the relevant angular observables, which were recently suggested for the study of lepton flavor universality violating effects in , to and make predictions for their values under different new physics scenarios.
