Genuine Parrondo's paradox in quantum walks with time-dependent coin operators
Marcelo A. Pires, S\'ilvio M. Duarte Queir\'os

TL;DR
This paper demonstrates a genuine Parrondo paradox in two-state quantum walks using a time-dependent coin operator, maintaining spatial invariance without complex high-dimensional coins.
Contribution
It introduces a novel approach to realize Parrondo's paradox in simple two-state quantum walks with time-dependent coins, avoiding complex coin systems.
Findings
Parrondo's paradox can occur in two-state quantum walks with time-dependent coins.
The system maintains spatial invariance while exhibiting paradoxical behavior.
The approach simplifies experimental realization of quantum paradoxes.
Abstract
We show that a genuine Parrondo paradox can emerge in two-state quantum walks without resorting to experimentally intricate high-dimensional coins. To achieve such goal we employ a time-dependent coin operator without breaking the translation spatial invariance of the system.
