TL;DR
This paper implements a non-linear EFT model for Higgs pair production via gluon fusion at NLO, interfaced with parton shower programs, allowing for flexible anomalous coupling analysis and providing detailed kinematic distributions.
Contribution
It introduces a new implementation of Higgs pair production in a non-linear EFT framework at NLO within the POWHEG-BOX, including full top mass effects and user-modifiable couplings.
Findings
Provides $m_{hh}$ distributions at seven benchmark points.
Includes showered $p_T^{hh}$ distributions with Pythia-8 and Herwig-7.2.
Enables detailed shape analysis of Higgs pair production.
Abstract
We present the implementation of Higgs boson pair production in gluon fusion within a non-linear Effective Field Theory framework containing five anomalous couplings for this process. The code, available within the POWHEG-BOX-V2, includes full NLO QCD corrections with massive top quarks. All five couplings can be modified by the user. We show distributions at seven benchmark points provided by an shape analysis at NLO and showered distributions resulting from an interface to Pythia-8 and Herwig-7.2.
