Massive photons and electrically charged black holes
A. D. Dolgov, K. S. Gudkova

TL;DR
This paper calculates the time for electric fields to vanish in massive electrodynamics during black hole charge capture, showing it is independent of photon mass and that the electric field disappears at light speed.
Contribution
It demonstrates that the electric field decay time in massive electrodynamics near black holes is independent of photon mass, providing new insights into black hole charge dynamics.
Findings
Electric field disappearance time is independent of photon mass.
Electric fields at large distances vanish at the speed of light.
The characteristic decay time does not depend on photon mass.
Abstract
The characteristic time of disappearance of electric field in massive electrodynamics during the capture of electric charge by black holes is calculated. It is shown that this time does not depend upon the photon mass. The electric field at large distances disappears with the speed of light.
