Geometry and topology in many-body physics
Raffaele Resta

TL;DR
This review explores geometrical and topological observables in many-electron systems, providing a formalism that extends beyond band theory to include disordered and correlated materials.
Contribution
It introduces a comprehensive many-body framework for geometrical and topological observables, applicable to complex disordered and correlated systems.
Findings
Formalism for many-body geometrical observables
Applicable to disordered and correlated systems
Extends beyond traditional band-structure theory
Abstract
Some intensive observables of the electronic ground state in condensed matter have a geometrical or even topological nature. In this Review I present the geometrical observables whose expression is known in a full many-body framework, beyond band-structure theory. The formalism allows dealing with the general case of disordered and/or correlated many-electron systems.
