Axion-mediated forces, CP violation and left-right interactions
Stefano Bertolini, Luca Di Luzio, Fabrizio Nesti

TL;DR
This paper calculates the CP-violating axion-nucleon coupling within baryon chiral perturbation theory and explores its detectability in experiments, especially in the context of left-right symmetric models with high W_R masses.
Contribution
It provides a detailed computation of the CP-violating axion-nucleon coupling and assesses its experimental prospects in left-right symmetric theories.
Findings
Predicted axion-nucleon coupling is within experimental reach for W_R masses up to 1000 TeV.
Constraints from other CPV observables are correlated with the axion coupling.
The work bridges theoretical calculations with experimental prospects for axion-mediated forces.
Abstract
We compute the CP-violating (CPV) scalar axion coupling to nucleons in the framework of baryon chiral perturbation theory and we apply the results to the case of left-right symmetry. The correlated constraints with other CPV observables show that the predicted axion nucleon coupling is within the reach of present axion-mediated force experiments for up to TeV.
