Shihao Bi, Minghao Du, Jun Tao, Feiyu Yao

TL;DR
This paper investigates the thermodynamic behavior of Born-Infeld AdS black holes during Joule-Thomson expansion, analyzing inversion and isenthalpic curves across different dimensions and parameter regimes.
Contribution
It provides a detailed analysis of Joule-Thomson expansion for Born-Infeld AdS black holes, including the effects of parameters and higher dimensions, extending previous studies.
Findings
Negative slope in inversion curves is preserved.
Inversion temperature ratios approach 1/2 as charge or parameter increases.
Results are consistent with known higher-dimensional black hole thermodynamics.
Abstract
In this paper, the Joule-Thomson expansion of Born-Infeld AdS black holes is studied in the extended phase space, where the cosmological constant is identified with the pressure. The Joule-Thomson coefficient, the inversion curves and the isenthalpic curves are discussed in detail by 4-dimensional black hole. The critical point of Born-Infeld black hole is depicted with varying parameter and the charge . In plane, the inversion temperature curves and isenthalpic curves are obtained with different parameter and the charge . We find that the missing negative slope is still conserved in Born-Infeld black holes. We also extend our discussion to arbitrary dimension higher than 4. The critical temperature and the minimum of inversion temperature are compared, and the ratio is asymptotically as increases or in , and reproduce the…
