Antonio Laface, Alex Massarenti, Rick Rischter

TL;DR
This paper establishes near-optimal bounds for secant defectiveness and identifiability of Segre-Veronese varieties, and introduces new examples of defective cases, advancing understanding in algebraic geometry.
Contribution
It provides almost sharp bounds for defectiveness and identifiability, along with new examples of defective Segre-Veronese varieties.
Findings
Derived near-sharp bounds for secant defectiveness.
Identified new defective Segre-Veronese varieties.
Enhanced understanding of the geometric properties of these varieties.
Abstract
We give an almost asymptotically sharp bound for the non secant defectiveness and identifiability of Segre-Veronese varieties. We also provide new examples of defective Segre-Veronese varieties.
