Extreme water wave profile recovery from pressure measurements at the seabed
Didier Clamond (JAD), David Henry

TL;DR
This paper evaluates a new method for reconstructing nonlinear water wave profiles from seabed pressure data, using the extreme Stokes wave as a test case to assess its effectiveness.
Contribution
It applies a recent wave recovery approach to a classical extreme wave, demonstrating its practical utility and accuracy in complex wave scenarios.
Findings
Effective recovery of wave profiles from seabed pressure data.
Validation of the method on the extreme Stokes wave.
Potential for improved wave monitoring techniques.
Abstract
The aim of this note is to examine the efficacy of a recently developed approach to the recovery of nonlinear water waves from pressure measurements at the seabed, by applying it to the celebrated extreme Stokes wave.
