Measurement of Exclusive $\pi^{+}\pi^{-}$ and $\rho^0$ Meson Photoproduction at HERA
H1 collaboration

TL;DR
This paper measures exclusive $ ho^0$ meson photoproduction at HERA, analyzing cross sections, resonance parameters, and Regge trajectory characteristics to deepen understanding of meson production mechanisms in electron-proton collisions.
Contribution
It provides detailed measurements of $ ho^0$ meson production, including resonance parameters and Regge trajectory slopes, using a large dataset and separating elastic and dissociative processes.
Findings
Measured $ ho^0$ mass and width with high precision.
Extracted Regge trajectory intercept and slope.
Analyzed dependence of cross sections on $t$, $W_{\gamma p}$, and $m_{\pi\pi}$.
Abstract
Exclusive photoproduction of mesons is studied using the H1 detector at the collider HERA. A sample of about 900000 events is used to measure single- and double-differential cross sections for the reaction . Reactions where the proton stays intact () are statistically separated from those where the proton dissociates to a low-mass hadronic system ( GeV). The double-differential cross sections are measured as a function of the invariant mass of the decay pions and the squared -momentum transfer at the proton vertex. The measurements are presented in various bins of the photon-proton collision energy . The phase space restrictions are GeV, GeV, and GeV. Cross section measurements are presented for…
