Harmonic Suppression Study on Twin Aperture CCT Type Superconducting Quadrupole for CEPC Interaction Region
Quanling Peng, Qingjin Xu

TL;DR
This paper investigates harmonic suppression techniques for twin aperture CCT superconducting quadrupoles in the CEPC interaction region, proposing a combined magnet design to optimize space and cost efficiency.
Contribution
It introduces a novel approach to harmonic suppression by designing combined magnets with added high order harmonics for improved performance.
Findings
Different order harmonics have independent properties.
Combined magnet design can save space and reduce costs.
Harmonic control enhances magnet efficiency.
Abstract
From the field calculation, we can also draw a conclusion that the different order harmonics have an independent property, which we can design a combined magnet by adding some high order harmonics, so that it can save space and reduce the magnet cost.
