Double parton distributions of the pion in the NJL model
Wojciech Broniowski, Enrique Ruiz Arriola

TL;DR
This paper calculates the pion's valence double parton distribution using the NJL model, demonstrating a simple factorized form at low energy, and explores its evolution and correlations, providing predictions for future lattice tests.
Contribution
It introduces a simple factorized form of the pion's valence double parton distribution in the NJL model and studies its evolution and correlations.
Findings
The dPDF follows a simple factorized form at the low-energy scale.
The model's predictions for Mellin moment ratios are invariant under dDGLAP evolution.
Predictions are made for lattice QCD tests.
Abstract
We evaluate the valence double parton distribution (dPDF) of the pion in the Nambu--Jona-Lasinio model. At the low-energy quark-model scale and in the chiral limit a particularly simple factorized form follows, where denote the longitudinal momentum fractions of the valence quark and antiquark, and is their relative transverse momentum. For our result complies to the Gaunt-Sterling sum rules. We carry out the necessary dDGLAP evolution to higher scales via the Mellin moments and explore its impact on the correlation defined as the ratio of dPDF to the product of single parton distributions, . Since the ratios of the valence Mellin moments are invariants of the dDGLAP evolution,…
