Dynamics of classical and quantum spin in external fields: A general formalism
Yuri N. Obukhov

TL;DR
This paper develops a general formalism to analyze the dynamics of classical and quantum spins in external fields, with applications across neutrino physics, astrophysics, and high-energy physics.
Contribution
It introduces a unified approach using the projection technique to study spin dynamics in various physical contexts, bridging classical and quantum descriptions.
Findings
Unified formalism for classical and quantum spin dynamics
Applications to neutrino physics and astrophysics
Framework adaptable to high-energy and heavy-ion physics
Abstract
We study the dynamics of classical and quantum particles with spin and dipole moments in external fields within the framework of the general approach by making use of the projection technique. Applications include the neutrino physics in matter, polarization phenomena in astrophysics, high-energy and heavy-ion physics.
