Contribution
It introduces robust diagnostic techniques for dark counts in single-photon detectors, improving security in quantum network implementations.
Findings
Effective analysis of afterpulse counts using multiple approaches
Enhanced security diagnostics for quantum key distribution
Improved reliability of quantum communication systems
Abstract
In this work, we study the timestamps in the registration of single-photon detector counts in quantum communications. The analysis of afterpulse counts on the basis of several approaches is carried out. Robust diagnostics of keys is proposed to increase the security of quantum networks.
