Measurement of the relative $B^{\pm}_{c}/B^{\pm}$ production cross section with the ATLAS detector at $\sqrt{s}=8$ TeV
ATLAS Collaboration

TL;DR
This paper measures the production cross section of $B_c^{ ext{±}}$ mesons relative to $B^{ ext{±}}$ mesons using ATLAS data at 8 TeV, providing differential results in transverse momentum and rapidity.
Contribution
First measurement of the relative production cross section of $B_c^{ ext{±}}$ mesons at 8 TeV with detailed differential analysis.
Findings
The relative cross section times branching fraction is approximately 0.34%.
Production of $B_c^{ ext{±}}$ decreases faster with $p_T$ than $B^{ ext{±}}$.
No significant dependence on rapidity observed.
Abstract
The total cross section and differential cross sections for the production of mesons, times their branching fraction to , are measured relative to those for the production of mesons, times their branching fraction to . The data used for this study correspond to an integrated luminosity of of collisions recorded by the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider in 2012 at a center-of-mass energy of TeV. The measurement is performed differentially in bins of transverse momentum for GeV GeV and GeV and in bins of rapidity for and . The relative cross section times branching fraction for the full range GeV and is…
